Here are some advance previews of some of the newly acquired items in our inventory, not yet listed:

Quality small items include a Georgian cast brass ejector candlestick with saucer base and lovely colour and patina, and 6 early Georgian square shaped hand blown glass decanters with gilt embellishment. A tortoiseshell lorgnette including the original box is available. A gorgeous Minton gilded cake plate with the original box will make a lovely gift for a special birthday or anniversary.

New solid silver listings will include a tall pair of candlesticks, a cased set of French first standard solid silver and cut glass set of 4 salts and peppers, and a very interesting and attractive silver cheese hatchet. In addition, a large and very heavy gauged soup ladle, a mother of pearl handled solid silver dessert cutlery service, an engraved cigar case and a large match box holder are due to be added. Also, two very good quality large bowls, a pierced tea strainer with holder, and a pair of Victorian dwarf candlesticks will be coming soon. Finally, an unusual and large French first standard .950 solid silver minaudiere or ladies purse, containing a compact and other compartments and including the original ornate wood fitted case will be listed. There will also be a set of long solid silver English hallmarked salad servers and a cased set of solid silver cocktail sticks with theatrical character finials. Several solid silver presentation trowels are also in stock, both cased and uncased. They are wonderful to present in the building trade, and to use for serving cakes and pies. Very historic pieces.

The silver plate category will also feature a dessert service for 12 people, with 12 pairs of knives and forks having beautiful petal carved ivory handles, and fitted into the original mahogany canteen. Also, two glass and silver plate ice buckets or wine coolers, one by very famous maker Elkington, will be coming soon. In addition, a magnificent biscuit barrel and stand with Egyptian motif and etched glass container will be added. Finally, the most amazing punch bowl with 12 tall beakers, all bearing cast and applied grape and vine decoration, all fitted into a huge leatherette fitted case will be added. I have never seen anything like this!
